The frequency of social media updates is the hard balance to strike. Making enough social media updates so that you are staying on the ball and relevant amongst your followers, but not annoying them and forcing them to unfriend you.

On top of this, you need to ensure that you are striking the right balance between social posts and sales posts.
Too many sales posts, and people will be turned off you. You are not a TV channel dedicated to ads – no one would watch you even if you were. Respect your social and network contacts and don’t sell to them continuously.
And then you need to make social posts. Posts with radical political, racial, religious and lifestyle opinions will also not go down too well.
Keep it light! Make your social media updates uplifting – let people know the sun is shining in your part of the world and you are going outside for half an hour to enjoy it! Tell people some exciting news that is dear to you – make it uplifting! Talk about the kinds of things that you would like to hear about – or ask a general question in your business area – it’s about providing something, rather than asking for something.
Quotes – when you alternate between sales posts and quotes only – you may as well be an auto-responder. Use quotes wisely – they are interesting, however you probably have some quotable quotes of your personal own as well! Sometimes you can provide a quote and then your opinion on the quote – it shows that you have taken the time and put thought into the update.
It takes minutes to make  social media updates – put yourself into the post and you will see the results. People will be able to relate to you – and it will pay out.
